Vision, Mission and Objectives

The vision of the CAPCE is to bring about innovations and new applications through collaboration between the Polymer Engineering Center (PEC) and industrial partners. Its mission is to capitalize on the collaborative efforts for creation, integration, application, and knowledge transfer to benefit its members.

This consortium, which consists of researchers at the PEC at the UW-Madison as well as representatives, practitioners and entrepreneurs from industry, aims to:

  • Create a professional network for members to share expertise, tools, and resources based on common interests,

  • Help university researchers receive direct feedback from industry and deliver results that impact real-world applications,
  • Accelerate research progress by having industrial collaborators evaluate and validate the research in a timely and critical manner,
  • Offer a learning environment to train a skilled workforce with both academic and industrial experiences,
  • Generate opportunities to collectively gain publicity from successful research progress and through research publications,<
  • Facilitate continuous and seamless technology transfer and dissemination of resulting knowledge and technology.
